Rachel Marie Patterson

Rachel Marie Patterson is the co-founder and editor of Radar Poetry. She holds an M.F.A. in Creative Writing from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro.

Tall Grass With Violence, Rachel’s debut full-length collection, was released in 2022 by FutureCycle Press. Her chapbook, If I Am Burning, was published by MSR in 2011. 

Rachel’s poems appear or will soon appear in many journals, including Cimarron Review, Harpur Palate, The Journal, Parcel, Redivider, Smartish PaceSWWIM, and Valparaiso Poetry Review. She won an Academy of American Poets Prize in 2012. In 2019, her poem “Connemara” was selected as a Special Mention for the Pushcart Prize. Her poetry has also been nominated for Best of the Net and Best New Poets and was a finalist for the Rita Dove Award from the Center for Women Writers.
